Reward Offered for Poisoners in Lynn Horse Cruelty

Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals offers a reward for the capture of those poisoning horses belonging to expressman Max Germain of 21 Neptune Street Lynn. Seven horses poisoned recently and another mutilated by a spike in the hoofs. Arsenic found in the feed box at the Germain stable 30 Warren Street Lynn. Poisoning occurred in Boston while horses were unattended on streets en route to Lynn.

Man Attacks Magistrate at Courthouse Door

Joseph Patuzel, a troubled litigant in New York, attacked Magistrate Corrigan at the courthouse door striking him with a club. The magistrate’s umbrella broke and he suffered head bruising as reporters and bystanders restrained Patuzel and prevented further injury.

In Scituate on October 28 Mrs. Fannie Co Sherman 40 wife of Chester Sherman of Greenbush shot herself in the head this afternoon. Death was instantaneous after a prolonged illness. Neighbors attributed the tragedy to her husband’s failure to obtain the postmaster position he sought.

Rearrested on Bail for New Larceny Charge

John Ryan alias J Williams, 42, restaurant keeper of 284 Blue Hill Avenue, and Louis Klein, 31, of 105 Essex Street Malden, were rearrested on a $931 larceny charge involving goods from C G Bailey Co 90 Canal Street Boston. Inspectors Mc Cauley and Hart took them into custody on the warrant.

Hearse Collision Disrupts Sullivan Funeral Procession
