Guard Killed Wife Then Shot Himself in Secluded Home

Pelham New Hampshire October 29 Ernest McCoy aged 64 after guarding his wife Minerva whom he had slain two weeks earlier shot himself in the head as his three daughters, alarmed by letters, sought admission at the lonely cottage. Sheriff Ramsey of Rockingham county arrested him at his home.

Murder in a Neighbors House Ended in Suicide

Howard Chase, who accompanied the daughters, witnessed a revolver shot and found McCoy unconscious. In the adjoining room, the 80-year-old wife lay dead for about two weeks with two gunshot wounds, one fatal to the heart. McCoy shot himself, bullet missing the brain, and was taken to a room as doctors were called.
