Shipping Fleet Swells at Hoosac Docks Expect Eleven Vessels
A near record group of ocean steamers readies to sail from Hoosac Tunnel docks this week. Asian liner Peruvian heads to Glasgow with other ships like Hull Saxon King and Armenia bound for Rotterdam Hamburg and Avonmouth. The Waccamaw steel steamer arrives from Toledo as first of six in a lumber trade fleet, while fog disrupts arrivals and departures. A small fishing fleet reaches T Wharf and tugs attempt sailings amid unsettled weather.
