Elizabeth Cady Stanton, famed woman suffragist, died after a brief illness at her New York home aged 87. Her children M F Lawrence Stanton Blatch Henry Stanton Theodore and G Smith survive. Funeral set for Wednesday with interment in Woodlawn Cemetery. She advocated for women's rights and co led early suffrage efforts with Lucretia Mott. Her long career included editing The Revolution and authoring The History of Woman Suffrage.
