Fatal Stabbing In Doorway Leads To Fire And Flight
Samuel Williams 26 was fatally stabbed in the doorway of 18 Fellows court and died at City Hospital. Joseph Wheler alias Harper a light mulatto and Isaac B. Allen mill worker is a fugitive after allegedly stabbing Williams then setting his house afire. Harper, known to have visited Miss Ida Twitchell, fled into Fellows court where Williams collapsed. Williams’s wound tore a major artery. Harper’s dagger remains missing.

Soldier Held for Murder in Manchester Lake Massabesh Stabbing
Ed ward Moore aged 35 was stabbed by George Green a soldier of Company C Concord first New Hampshire Regiment at Lake Massabesh Manchester on October 26. Moore died after bystanders battled to halt blood loss. Green boarded the last trolley and was jailed after police detained him. The incident followed a dispute at a night lunch cart when Moore tried to eject Green.
