Yesterday district court heard a case charging fraudulent use of the mails in connection with the sale of Brooklyn Arizona mining stock.
Emile H. Ruch of Portland formerly prominent in Harvard athletics and a hammer throwing champion filed marriage intentions with the city clerk. Miss Mary Desmond of Boston is the prospective bride. Ruch is studying law in the office of Hinckley and Hinckley.
At Lake Mohonk New York on October 23 the Friends of the Indians and Other Dependent Peoples debated the Philippines policy. Speakers condemned the president’s approach but differed on solutions from perpetual American control to immediate independence.
Diaz refuses to flee and questions the official sanction of the Huerta-Blanquet ticket while acknowledging broad distribution of the announcement makes other tickets unlikely. He remains reluctant to believe the ticket is officially sanctioned.
