Democratic district meetings set for party organization

Senatorial district meetings of the Democrats for organization and candidate nomination will be held on Tuesday the 27th at various halls. Northern Roxbury Brookline Dorchester West Roxbury meet at Hall's Block Roxbury at 7 pm. Northern Randolph Quincy Weymouth Stoughton Milton meet at Stetson's Hall Randolph at 2 pm. Western Foxboro Dedham Canton Walpole Sharon Wrentham Needham Bellingham Dover Medfield Medway Franklin meet at Walpole at 1 pm. One delegate per town and one for every 25 Democratic votes in the last gubernatorial election. Ebenezer Eaton, Chairman County Committee. J. W. Wineart, Secretary.

Howard Benevolent Society Elects Secretary at Annual Meeting

The Howard Benevolent Society held its annual meeting in Tremont Temple with Dea Moses Grant presiding. George Fr Bigelow was unanimously elected secretary and sworn in. The report includes notes on the Agricultural Fair Grounds exhibition with stock shows, horse entries, and speed trials, plus a statement endorsing Boston banks as solvent after the suspension of specie payments.
