An alarm from Box 52 this morning at 12 40 for a slight fire in a peanut store at 56 Bedford street, cause unknown, with slight damage.

Simultaneous fires burn 1200 acres of timber in Blue Mountains, with $835,000 timber loss. Minor blazes strike Welch’s store in Lynx, Ogdensburg rail warehouse, Tutile’s block, and Victoria mills spinning department with insured losses.
