The Beverly firemen mounted their annual parade Wednesday morning led by Chief Engineer Goodhue. Nearby in Lynn, a barn fire on the Berry estate at Federal street drew deputy crews Wednesday evening. In Salem, American Missionary Association meetings continued with Rev. Dr. Stricly presenting a report to harmonize Home Missionary and American Missionary societies for southern church expansion. Cambridge opened its concert season with a North Avenue Congregational church program conducted by G. Wendell Taylor, featuring Emma L. Taylor, soprano Alice Osborne, contralto Annie Lord, with D. M. Babcock bass and organist Herbert W. Taylor.

The art galleries alone are superb, while the novel electric railway and sugar machines interest the visitor. Reeves' American band give excellent concerts afternoon and evening.
