Divorce in 15 Minutes as Court Grants Alimony Requests
Edith A. Seiders testified of abuse by Robert S. Seiders in a divorce case, claiming drunkenness and cruel treatment. The judge granted a decree after a 15 minute hearing. Witness Eva Dean Cook and Otis C. Cook corroborated the allegations. Another case, Mary Perkins versus Walter Perkins, sought desertion with no living together for four months prior to July 1901. Maud Jordan also sought desertion against George A. Jordan. A special divorce court session for uncontested cases will be held at 10 AM in the grand jury room under Judge Fessenden, with Judge White in the regular session.
