Slater autos searched after customs seizure of gowns

Two cars owned by Mrs Horatio N Slater of Readville were dismantled by customs officials in a Boston warehouse search for contraband hidden in cushions and tonneaus after her trunks were seized in New York for undeclared Paris gowns. Officials kept details secret and found nothing dutiable. Packard and Fiat cars were involved and parts were reassembled with expert help.

Envo ys Visit Boston by Irish Envoys Redmond Devlin Boyle

Irish envoys led by John E Redmond Joseph Devlin and Daniel Boyle arrived in Boston aboard the Knickerbocker express. They were greeted warmly by a large reception committee at South Station and escorted to the Lenox hotel for headquarters.
