Knifed at Own Door in Malden

Joseph Brandano, 1 Colbert Court, Malden, was stabbed and beaten by three robbers who forced entry to his home and fled after finding no money. He was taken to Malden Hospital and his condition was described as serious. Brandano runs an express business in a largely immigrant district.

Thieves Attack and Injure Brandano at Home

At 6 30 tonight Brandano was attacked at his home by three men who forced him outside and stabbed him in the back before beating him unconscious. He lay on the sidewalk for half an hour before bystanders found him. Dr Clarence Staples said the injury is serious and he was taken to a hospital.
