Liberty Loan Drive Faces Slow Bond Buying in New England
New England Liberty Loan officials warn the drive may falter without quicker bond purchases as the region targets 24 million dollars daily for the rest of the campaign. Boston reported 3.215 million today, raising its second loan total to nearly 10 million, while many banks statewide delayed reports. Dr Hillis of Brooklyn and later ex-President Taft are slated to speak in Boston to spur contributions.
