Four residents of Lewiston were killed and one injured when their car left the road and overturned on a curve under the Boston and Maine bridge. Montevideo October 7 Uruguay has severed diplomatic relations with Germany. A Presidential decree announced the rupture after a Chamber of Deputies vote of 74 to 23. The German minister has been expelled with his passports.
At 2 o’clock this morning the Chamber met as President Viera told Parliament Uruguay had not faced a direct offense from Germany yet pledged support for the defenders of justice democracy and small nationalities in the current dispute.
