Great Round Shoal wreck of four masted schooner Palmer
NIS, Sept. 30. The 1600 ton four masted schooner B. Palmer from Newport News to Bangor with 2700 tons coal ran aground on Great Round Shoal off Davis bank near Sankaty Head. All 11 crew abandoned ship as she broke up in heavy seas. Captain Jenssen and eight crew attempted to float her but were overwhelmed by darkness and fog. The Palmer, built 1896 in Portland Maine, measured 257 by 42 by 20 feet with net tonnage 1625, owned by J. S. & Co. of Portland.

Auto Kills Little Girl in Arlington Incident
Catherine McCarthy six years old, daughter of Mr and Mrs Patrick McCarthy of 11 Moore Place, was killed when struck by an auto owned by Charles H Sanders of Penacook New Hampshire near her home.
