Otto Urack, early Boston Symphony cellist, soloed yesterday at Symphony Hall. Brahms Second Symphony and Schumann Genoveva overture opened the program. Urack offered Dvorak Cello Concerto in B minor, which drew mixed notes for length though his playing earned repeated recalls. The reviewer praised the symphony performance as virile and poetic, noting Dr. Mack's pacing and Urack's refined yet powerful tone despite some criticism of the concerto.
