Fall or Blow Mystery Plunges City Man Into Critical Condition
Police investigate a possible manslaughter after an unidentified man, about 35, five seven and 120 pounds with dark complexion and a mustache, was found unconscious on Castle Street near the Albany railroad bridge. He was taken to City Hospital with a fractured skull and there is no identification or witness account yet.

Stormed Jail Ransacked As Mob Seizes Prisoners
In Fayetteville a mob seized two convicted men being transported from Lewisburg to Tracy City. Sheriff Menefee tried to move on. leaders demanded the prisoners be released to the mob and side tracked the car. Troops were requested as about 200 armed men arrived and stormed the jail without firing a shot. The men faced charges of rape and assault on a Miss Stewart and a young white girl. Massive rock fall at Tilly Foster mine deadly disaster
