Fire at Amesbury candy factory causes extensive damage

A fire in the candy factory of Frank M. Hoyt at Main and Greenwood streets, caused by an overheated gas stove, damaged the building and led to an estimated $16,000 loss. Six workers were present. foreman Harry C. Feltham discovered the blaze as the fire spread briefly to stored automobile chemicals. Jank M. Hoyt, owner, heads the Amesbury Board of Trade.
