Actor Charles Coghlan Dies in Galveston at 56

Remains of Rev Samuel May Cremated in Boston Service

The funeral of Rev Samuel May moved from Leicester to Boston where Abolitionists and descendants of enslaved people attended a second service at the Church of the Disciples. Speakers included Charles G Ames and Christopher Eliot with William Lloyd Garrison and James De Normandie offering tributes. The pallbearers were the deceased’s sons and nephews. The remains were cremated at the Massachusetts Crematory afterward.
