City Election Registration Reaches Record High

Registration for the city election on December 12 climbed to 102 879 homes the peak total. Supplementary registration added 2388 names since the State election. Ward 24 leads supplementary registration with 222 names while Ward 15 adds only 44. Every Democratic ward rose from 1897 figures, some Republican wards fell. Hall Withdraws From Mayor Race Bid

The Hon. Bordman Hall yesterday declined to be a citizens candidate for mayor. He told a reporter he would not enter the municipal contest and refused the independent nomination offered days earlier. Nomination papers prepared for Hall will be withheld at his request.
