Regimental riot leads to arrests at Macon camp

The Sixth Virginia regiment of Black troops at Macon is under arrest after a riot at night. Armaments were seized and a battalion of the Tenth Immunes guards the camp while General Wilson orders Colonel Gillard to restore order following a late night breakout toward town.

Two Men Arrested in Woodbury Robbery Case in Stoughton

Chief Vanston arrested Charles H. Allen of Stoughton and Ernest Stromberg, formerly of Stoughton and now in Brockton, on assault and robbery charges connected to Asa M. Woodbury’s residence on School Street last Friday. Stromberg was seized by Brockton police for theft linked to the same incident, with Mrs. Lottie Talbot as an associate. Allen and Stromberg fit Woodbury’s description. Allen claims he was home from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and then at a neighbor’s house for the evening.

Mrs Guilford Sees Son In Bridgeport Jail Visit
