The undersigned offers installation of gas furnaces for a group of twelve to twenty-five houses in one locality at no cost to owners for the first year. Gas cost capped at 25 percent above coal furnace expenses. A supervising technician will be provided during the first year. James C. Keough former Holyoke tax collector was arrested on embezzlement charges totaling 115000. He was jailed after supper and denied guilt as investigators report erasures of about 118000 from the books. Bondsmen faced writs, with a December hearing planned and city suits ready.

Spain was given until November 28 for a definite reply and the talks pressed toward a quick settlement.
