Camp Thomas Horrors Described By Breckinridge Witnesses

Washington November 14 General Breckinridge and Dr Huidekoper testified before the war investigating commission on Camp Thomas conditions. Hospitals crowded with poor attendance and tentage shortages were noted. Major Knox described crowded transports to Santiago and sixteen days in hold. Arrest of 16 year old for pocketbook theft in Roxbury

Joseph Donovan aged 16 of 8 Fulda street Roxbury was arrested by Station 9 officers late last night on a charge of larceny. He allegedly stole a pocketbook containing $10.10 from Miss Elizabeth A. Driscoll of 50 Homestead street on Fairland street yesterday morning. Donovan was chased by an officer, dumped the money and pocketbook, and briefly escaped.
