Manila November 14 The United States cruiser Charleston is a total wreck with all officers and crew saved The ship had been patrolling Luzon’s northern coast when it struck a hidden reef The loss is reported likely total and the wreck occurred on Tuesday November.
The Charleston has been in Asiatic waters for over a year and was one of the first vessels sent to Manila after the Spanish fleet's destruction at Dewey.
