Hunter killed by policeman in Swope Park shootout

In Kansas City a hunter who refused to stop shooting in Swope Park was shot dead by special officer Frank Robinson who arrived after hearing gunfire. Robinson shot the hunter through the head as the man fired at him while in a wooded park area. the hunter’s identity was not released.

Rescue men save boy adrift near Breakers at Chelsea coast

Fred Gamrell of Medford and Fred Wells of Chelsea rescued Charles Smith of Revere after he lost an oar and jumped overboard near the Breakers breakwater. The two men, roofing a Revere home, saw the boy struggle and pulled him to safety as he attempted to swim to shore.
