Reports from Boston to Gloucester detail a heavy four day cyclone that tore sails and tipped the British Sceptre, gales that shattered topmasts on the British Isles near San Francisco, a leak and beaching of the Pierce Dodge off Lash Isle, and the Daylight of New Haven ashore at Three Keys before beaching at Harbor Island.
