In Union Hill Jersey City Charles Siedhart a former chemistry professor aged about 91 and his wife Matilda 92 died by taking potassium cyanide this afternoon. They planned to enter the poorhouse but were delayed by Poor Master Armbuster. Siedhart had taught at Heidelberg and later supported himself by writing lecturing and translating. He left books to Columbia College and had sheltered a young German, Dessendorf, who later eloped with Dr. Kochs wife and died by suicide in Central Park New York.
