The Boston and Maine Railway introduced two new dining room cars built at Lawrence to handle summer travel. No 362 underwent a trial trip with officials and newspaper men, showcasing cherry exterior and mahogany interiors with a bird's eye maple ceiling. The car seats 26 in a main salon, with a Wilton carpet and a cozy end room for smokers, and one car will run on through Portland trains while the other serves the Eastern division.
