He led rapid crew improvement and had the team under his coaching with Cook opposing stroke changes. President Ames says the college cannot afford him. Chainy leaves the crew in good form amid possible strain on Yale's season.
New York May 27. Prosecutor opening address described Herr Most urging rifles and bombs at an anarchist meeting. Witnesses testified Most vilified police and government while urging armed action against capitalists and calling for bloodshed.
The Suncook Valley railroad stockholders met in Manchester on May 27 electing Samuel N. Bell president B P Cilley clerk Samuel W Bell William F Head Teuben L French Frederick Smyth Charles H Carpenter Martin W B Edgerly Hiram A Tutte as directors. Total shares voted 726.
Harvard announces a June 12 single scull prize race. The current holder of the single scull challenge cup is Fietcher, class of 1887. Freshmen crew includes Bow, Perry, Wright, Schroll, Werkins, Davis, Pfeiffer, Parker, Storrow and Stroke, with weights listed for several rowers. The team departs today for New York to participate in the intercollegiate games held Saturday.

The old man lost $4000 plus valuables. fraudsters suspected as professional dance steerers from New York or Boston.
Rain stopped play in the opening league game as 3350 fans at the South End grounds watched the Bostons lead the Detroits by one run after four innings.
