In Cincinnati on a windy day Boston beat by three to one. The Phillies defeated St Louis 3 1 in a surprising upset.
Ed Scott and Parson Lewis starred in a tense Cincinnati win over Boston as Scott delivered a two base hit in the tenth after a tight pitching duel. Corcoran, Peitz and Steinfeldt supported the Reds with key plays while Boston squandered chances through baserunning miscues and fielding errors.
Philadelphia won 3 to 1 in St Louis as a sixth inning fluke uncorked three runs. McGraw injured in the melee after Slagle's grounder set two on, Delehanty Sac, Lajoie hit to Keister and a wild throw at third allowed the scoring. Attendance listed as 5100.

The Delta Upsilon Delta Tufts defeated Harvard 14 to 11 in a high batting game with strong hitting from Pierce Cabot Lamb Millikin Marsh Endicott and Foss Wright Barnes Palmer Seasongood Branon Campbell Beaman Chadbourne among others.
Harvard faces its stiffest test of the season as Princeton visits Soldiers Field for a 3 p m contest. Harvard has mixed results this year with Brown handing the only defeat in a long game.
