New York May not clear. Intercollegiate amateur championship trials on Columbia Field opened amid soggy track and quagmire infield. Pennsylvania led with Kraenzlein in four events and strong showings by Prinstein and others. records fell in hammer and shot put while many finals promised exciting finishes tomorrow.

Country Club race meeting opens with rich two mile and steeplechase card

Opening day features flat and country races led by a mile back event at 3 pm with Weary Willie and The Shrew among six starters. Harvard Varsity Crew Rests Second Boat Likely To Row Again

First crew rowed yesterday and will continue in the same order. The second crew did not row and rests today. They moved up the Charles in fours with bow pair coached on the up trip and stern pair on the return. Storrrow supervised the full row from the launch.

Concord High School finished first with 60 points at the New Hampshire Interscholastic Athletic Association meet held in Concord. Nashua High School and Newport’s Richards High School followed, with Pinkerton Academy disqualified after a best man’s performance.
