German Peace Delegate Attacks Wilson in Speech
Berlin May 22 German peace delegate Professor Hans Delbrueck criticizes President Wilson in a Tageblatt interview. He says Wilson ceded influence to France and Britain by following his 14 points and questions his grasp of European conditions. Delbrueck argues demands like ceding the left bank of the Rhine would have been better than current limits. He also suggests Wilson fears a conflict with Japan and that Germany is weakened to prevent an alliance with Japan.
