Boston Finance Commission reports that tolls at East Boston ferries were defrauded by miscounting fares. Gatemen issued too many low priced tickets and too few high priced fares, causing an estimated $2000 annual loss to the city over years of practice.

Boy of 15 Becomes Hold Up Man

Lewiston May 22 15 year old Charles J Riley of Dorchester and Frank Hodges of this city with masks and a revolver stopped the Mechanics Falls Stage in Auburn after tampering with streetcar switches. They are in police custody awaiting arraignment Friday morning.
