In a large auditorium, former President Taft accepts the Unitarian event role with humor and reflection. Speakers including Arthur P. Rugg and Charles W. Eliot urge mission work, social reform, and unity among churches in Boston.
Former President William H. Taft described his Boston visit as a joyous departure from official duties. He contrasted it with past trips made in an official capacity and said March 4 marked his return to simple citizen life and personal freedom to roam and enjoy the city.
Taft arrives in Boston as a private citizen and Unitarian seeking no political edge. He meets with Unitarian leaders, delivers talks at Channing Hall and Park Street Church, and tours the city unrecognized. The Ancient and Honorable Artillery heads to Philadelphia for the centennial Infantry Fencibles parade.
The Clerk of the Massachusetts Senate received a Loving Cup at a complimentary dinner yesterday from the current and former presidents of the Senate.
Henry D. Coolidge, clerk of the Massachusetts Senate, was guest of honor at a dinner by President Greenwood at the Algonquin Club. Presiding officers from 25 years of service presented a silver loving cup bearing a May 21 1913 inscription.
Professor William H. Taft of Yale Law School will be the principal speaker at Harvard Law School's senior dinner at 6 20 tonight in the Harvard Union. Attending speakers include Samuel Williston Roscoe Pound FE Thayer and others with J T Williams Jr Moorfield Story of Boston.

New associate professors include Howard W. Nowell, pathology. Percy G. Browne, chest diseases. N. H. Houghton, nose and throat diseases. O. B. Sanders, venereal diseases. George H. Wilkins resigns due to ill health. Clinics for visiting physicians will operate during commencement week at the Massachusetts Homeopathic Hospital.
