In New York on May 21 Daly beat Carter 500 to 452 in the afternoon game with a 668-72 average and a best run of 33. Carter posted a 620-72 average with a best run of 36. In the evening Wallace defeated Vignaux 500 to 497. Wallace had a 55-9 average and a best run of 35 while Vignaux logged a 549-90 average and a best run of 37.
In Denver on May 21, a jury found William H. Bush not guilty of embezzling $2,000 after ex Senator Tabor accused him. Bush's lawyers delivered a harsh scoring of Tabor during closing arguments.
Fall River May 21 It is stated on authority of someone who has seen release papers that Charles P Stickney the forger has been pardoned The papers were presented to Warden Usher today and the prisoner will be set free
