Swindler uses telephone to steal cameras from Lauriat
In a city case the swindler posing as Mr. Lauriat telephoned to Ralph J Blake of Iver Johnson Co ordering two expensive Graflex cameras for delivery to his home at 4 pm and again at 5 pm. Mrs. Tompkins, the landlady, aided the ruse by receiving the cameras, but Blake later learned Lauriat was not at the addresses. Police issued a general alarm as the thief eluded capture and similar thefts were reported. Francesco Pastorello, 45, of North End, accused of shooting his nephew Michael Niccoletto in Roslindale over money, was held on $3000 bail.
