Jenkins won the first fall in 27 minutes 35 seconds, Gotch the second in 36 minutes 33 seconds, and the final fall saw Jenkins finish Gotch with a neck hold and half crotch after a grueling exchange.
Rep Mark N Skerrett of Worcester introduces a bill in the Massachusetts House to form a five member commission to investigate the entire system of commitment and care of the insane. The order may run parallel to any governor led Taunton Insane Hospital inquiry and aims to expose alleged abuses.
Dynamite in quantity possible to blow a train was spotted on Maine Central rails near Livermore Falls. Contractor W E Buzzell found it between joints just beyond the town and alerted section crews. The six mile section between Chisholm and East Livermore was inspected. no culprit yet, investigators probing. The explosive contained 60 percent nitro glycerine.
