Kiev Murderer Myth Reexamined by Jewish Lawyer
In St Petersburg on May 18 a Jewish lawyer, Slosberg, reviewed ritual murder myths in Russia and abroad. He cited two historical trials, Kutais in 1879 and Vilna in 1902, where juries acquitted Jewish defendants and experts denied ritualistic murder. He argued most alleged cases lacked evidence and were abandoned as dread and rumor spread.
