Five horses perished in a blaze at the old car barns of the Boston Elevated on Dover street West Somerville. Owned by Frank A Teele the animals were valued at 1500 dollars. Patrolmen Dodge and Allen attempted to free the animals breaking down a door with axes but smoke forced them back.

The body of an unidentified man was found floating in Fort Point Channel yesterday afternoon by harbor police and brought to North Grove Street Morgue. He is described as a tall gray haired man in a blue black suit with a dark stripe and a white shirt. 6 feet 7 inches, about 170 pounds, dark complexion, gray hair, and a mustache.
