Will Sustained in Probate Case for Benjamin French

Judge Grant sustained the will of Benjamin French but refused to appoint Mrs. Julia French administratrix. The ruling followed a probate hearing over several days. Elderly Mrs. Lucy Davis Dies at 106 in Auburn

Mrs. Lucy Davis, aged 106, died today at her son Dr. B F. Davis’s home in Auburn. Born in Lisbon in 182? she spent most of her life in Androscoggin and Franklin counties and had been an invalid for years. Her homes burned twice and she was rescued from a second story window during the 1896 Androscoggin flood.

Malden fish dealer arrested for forgery in Boston case

Malden police with a Boston inspector arrested Samuel Bruce, 35, a Malden fish dealer living at 23 Tremont Street. He is charged with forging the name of Courtenay Baylor of 7 Water Street, Boston, to money orders and is alleged to have secured $215.
