Representative Naphen led the fight, saying the bridge will not impede navigation and will benefit the community despite earlier opposition from Colonel Suter. The decision, expected by May 21, marks a major win for Boston’s business district and the Terminal Company’s efforts are considered insufficient to delay final action.
