A man named Charles Goodwin, possibly from Manchester New Hampshire, fell from a third story window at a Clinton boarding house. He survived the fall but suffered internal injuries. A woman claiming to be his wife, arrested on potential manslaughter charges if he dies, accompanied him earlier as they sought work at Lancaster mills. Goodwin has a brother in Henniker New Hampshire.
