Woman Overdoses and Flees Through City Streets

An unknown woman drank carbolic acid at Portland and Causeway streets around 10 PM. A mob pursued her, a patrol wagon aided officers, and she was taken unconscious to Massachusetts General Hospital. She later woke and gave her name as Mrs. Josephine Higgins, 23, of 55 Chambers Street.

Woman Falls Nine Feet Carrying Baby in Tunnel

Mrs. Fred Rumiell of 260 Lincoln Street Allston tripped on her skirt while descending Franklin Street tunnel stairs and fell nine feet. George F. Adams a wealthy real estate owner residing at 64 Pearl Street Beachmont fell from the staging of the New Gladstone Hotel in Medway yesterday noon. He dropped more than fifteen feet to the ground was picked up scarcely conscious and believed to have fractured both ankles. He insisted on going home and, with ankles bound by a Medway physician, boarded a train for Boston.
