Cat Intrudes at Boston University Rest Room

A black cat enters a rest room at Boston University College of Liberal Arts while about a hundred girls recreation breaks. The cat captures a mouse and provokes screams and a mass exodus as students scramble onto chairs. Male students arrive to rescue them.

Niver Sues to Oust Sons as Trustees of Estate

Mrs. Caroline S. Niver of Brookline seeks removal of her two sons Edwin T. and James B. Niver as trustees of her estate claiming mismanagement has nearly ruined the estate and demanding an accounting. The suit was heard in Equity Court before Judge Hardy with counsel William W. Towle. plaintiffs include Isabelle Niver Miriam A. Niver Helen T. Slade and Frances S. Friend.

Niver Trust Case Seeks Removal and Accounts

The bill alleges Edwin T. Niver and his brother trustees mismanaged the James B. Niver estate, failed to render accounts, diverted funds, and disposed of property to John W. Keith before transferring assets to himself. Plaintiffs seek removal, an accounting, injunction against land transfers, and conveyance of improperly held property to successors. Edwin T. Niver reportedly admitted lacking accounts. A hearing was postponed after his absence due to treatment for alcoholism.

Former Major Leaguer Weds in Webster

Dr. John J. Stafford a former major league player and Mrs. Rose Dansereau Groh were married at Sacred Heart Church Webster this morning. The ceremony was led by Rev. M A Desrochers. Stafford formerly played for Holy Cross and the Boston and New York National League clubs.

Modistes Form Protest League Against Smuggling

Back Bay dressmakers organized the Dressmakers' Protective League after a protest meeting. They accuse smuggling among local women’s dressmakers and tailors and seek a national investigation by President Wilson. They pledge to aid national authorities if granted.

Arbitral Tribunal Hears First Case in Major Dispute

The International Arbitral Tribunal heard the first case between the American and British governments today. The British steamer Lindenfarne seeks demurrage for one day lost after repairs following a collision in New York Harbor with the army transport Crook in May 1900.
