Professor Niles on Mounts and West Indies Volcanic Ties
Professor William H. Niles of MIT spoke at the Appalachian Mountain Club meeting on the St Pierre disaster and West Indies eruptions. He proposed that eruptions reflect nature's plan to unite North and South America, with future land arising from the sea as islands transform to solid ground. Edward Wilson then lectured on irrigation in heat.

Wedding of Wardwell and Miss Kendricken to Proceed Quietly
Society circles show strong interest in the June 11 Roxbury wedding of Harold P. Wardwell of the Boston Athletic Association to Miss Mary P. Kendricken daughter of Hon. Paul H. Kendricken of Roxbury. The ceremony from the Kendricken mansion will be limited to immediate relatives due to the recent death of Miss Kendricken’s brother. Wardwell, a Boston athlete and president of the New England Amateur Rowing Association, is a prominent figure in local sports. Kendricken is noted for her voice with operatic study in Paris and experience touring Europe, though her father has opposed a public operatic career.
