Burglars Hold Woman at Gunpoint in Norwood Home

Two masked burglars stormed into Joseph McCarthy’s home on School Street at 7 this morning. One pistol pointed at Mrs. McCarthy’s head while the other rifled rooms. They stole a small amount from drawers and $50 from the sleeping husband’s trousers.

Burglars strike the McCarthy residence for money again in six months. A past break had seen suspects near the house last Sunday. Mrs. McCarthy awoke to intruders. one man seized her by the throat while a second covered her mouth and menaced her with a revolver before fleeing.
