In New York and the Pacific Coast six parcels delivered to other parts of the country were intercepted. The devices were addressed to men prominent in the World War I era, with authorities calling it the work of anarchists. More bombs likely in the mails.
New York April 30 officials and agencies at all levels join in a nationwide effort to locate the anarchists thought to be responsible for the terrorist bombs. Authorities are pursuing runners who mailed the devices and identifying victims including the Wool of American Woolen Co. as one of those struck by the attack.
