Teacher in Uxbridge High School 18 Months Wedded

Uxbridge March 23 townspeople learned the marriage certificate of Edwin F. Tuttle and Miss Galletta Parker of Melrose was filed with the town clerk. The ceremony reportedly occurred July 27 in Pawtucket Rhode Island. Mrs Tuttle teaches seven years at the high school and is assistant nememne. it is unclear if she will return after winter term ends.

Fire gutted three and a half story Purchase Street block

A large fire on Purchase Street gutted a three and a half story brick oil and paint warehouse at 30 Purchase Street near Atlantic Avenue. The blaze began on the third floor, prompted three alarms, and caused about $20 000 in damage. Firefighter George Darrah survived serious smoke injuries and was hospitalized with spine and head injuries.
