Dr Immanuel Pfeiffer of North Adams will begin breaking his twenty one day fast with an orange at 12:40 noon after a medical X ray examination by Dr Burt. He started the fast March 5 and has had only water. He weighs about 172 pounds and remains in good health, with daily medical oversight.

Man Kills Wife's Friend in Brooklyn Quarrel

Edward Lea Leasure, 28, shot George Crotty, 38, an electrician, after a street confrontation with Crotty and the wife of Leasure. Crotty died an hour later at a hospital. Leasure surrendered to police and awaited further action.
