Vulture Gold Mine Share Prospectus Promises 20 Percent Income

Red Bananas Reach Boston in Small Supply

Boston merchants report thirty three bunches of rare red skinned bananas arrived on the Norwegian steamer Simon Dumois from Santo Domingo. Only a fraction of the 5500 bunches in port were red, with buyers snapping up the limited stock at or above one dollar per bunch. Expected shipments from the new plantation will be scarce for at least a year due to Cuban plantation neglect and unrest.

The Boston Paper Trade Association held its 13th annual meeting at the Exchange Club with about fifty attendees. Guests included Charles W. Rantoul Jr of New York and Colin K. Urquhart of New York, editor of Paper, plus Charles D. McKey of Boston. President William T. Barker presided. new officers named include Barker as president and James B. Forsyth as secretary.

Man Found Dead in Hotel Harrison Room With Gas on

A man believed to be John M. Dacey, 27, about 6 feet tall and 200 pounds, with blue eyes and dark clothes and a brown overcoat, was found dead in his room at the Hotel Harrison, 79 Harrison Avenue, yesterday afternoon with the gas still on. He had lodged there about a week. Medical Examiner Draper will view the body today.

Leather Tanners Sign On To American Hide and Leather Plan

An official list shows upper leather tanners agreeing to turn over their business to the American Hide and Leather Company. The New Jersey incorporated firm would have $60 million capital and include firms such as Alley Bros. & Co., William Becker Leather Co., Bernard & Friedman, Lambeau Leather Co., Hall Haight & Co., and Robson Leather Co. The group covers about 60 percent of U S tanning activity, with 25 million in annual business cited. about twenty one firms have yet to sign, half of them likely to join after plant appraisals.
